For our last night, we did some sight seeing. We got to take a ride on this farris wheel. It never stops and it takes about 15 minutes to come full circle. Josh and I were lucky enough to get our own booth. The city was pretty at night.
Here is a picture of the screen on the airplane home. We are in the middle of the Pacific, going to Chicago first before Dallas.
Since we didn't get a lot of ministry pictures to show what we actually did (makes sense, right?), I share a little more about that. We visited 2 churches and 1 youth group, and 1 Bible study with the Navy sailors. We lead worship, shared testimonies....We did street ministry - handing out Bibles in Japanese comic strips, called Monga. We also handed out baseball players' testimonies on DVD after a baseball game. We visited two universities to see about setting up an exchange program with LeTourneau. We helped with projects at The Lighthouse - a ministry house for the Navy sailors in Yukoska. The people we talked with were really blessed with how God had provided a way for us to come and that a group of college students would want to do this during our spring break. Another young woman was majorly blessed by Josh and I sharing our testimony of how God brought us together despite our past hurts. She had also experienced similar pains as she is now waiting for God's timing with marriage and future plans. Josh also shared with a young man at one university about his story before meeting me, which again encouraged this man as he had a similar story. Its just so cool how God set up appointed conversations between us and those who needed to hear from us.
Our last fligth from Chicago to Dallas, 3 of our team members got stuck in Chicago as the rest of us made it on the plane to our destination. We prayed that God would use this turn of events. He did! Josh Lubbers was the last to fly in. It just so happens that he sat next to an older gentleman who needed to receive Christ as his personal Savior. Josh talked to him and lead him to Christ. Another answer to prayer and another victory for God's Kingdom! It's His power, but He still chooses to use us.
