You know, if you look at when and why these graduation outfits were created - you start to wonder why are we still wearing them now. Just to fill you in - the Academic Regalia originated from the medieval robes worn by clerical and academic groups to protect them from the cold of the old stone buildings in which they worked. The American universities adopted the style from their European counterparts in the late 19th century. So even today, in the heat of Texas, we still wear the cap, gown, and hood in our ceremonies! Let's just say, I don't think anyone was cold on this great day, but traditions are strong....
Here we are with the Bitikofers again :o)
A group of friends. The guys just had to sneak in! (Meredith, the 3rd girl to the right, and David, the man standing behind her, are getting married next year!) Josh and David are close friends too.
The Stoppes! Aaron (Josh's good friend, who actually encouraged him to date me) and my old roommate, Erika Steger got married two weekends ago! It's been great knowing them through the years. And cool having your friends marry your spouse's friends.
