Here we are about to head out the door for Senior Breakfast, Friday morning.
Friday afternoon, the seniors participated in the Ivy cutting. I had never been before, but we soon found out that its a serious event. Initially, all of the seniors carried a long strand of ivy around this courtyard to form a complete circle. Then Dr. Lundsford came around and cut the ivy in between each person, giving everyone a piece. However, if you were married or engaged, he cut around the two of you. During this whole process, we all had to stay silent. Then we sang the Alma Mater song - at least those who had a program with the words on it. Josh did a good job of humming it :o)
So this is where it all began! The Solheim Recreation Center's Equipment Room on April 2nd, 2007, Josh said he wanted to make it an official dating relationship. I would visit him at Solheim during the hours he worked. It's funny to hear him share his version of the long email I sent him preceding this monumental conversation :o) Let's just say, I helped us define "dating" for us.
