Friday night before graduation, we went to the Senior Banquet with our families. It was a pretty nice set up. Josh and I received awards for serving on IMPACT - the leadership on campus. They gave us hand towels to remind us of our call to serve. I also received a medal for earning a 3.60-3.79 GPA - Magna Cum Laude, which means "with great praise."
We waited afterwards to get to talk with the Bitikofers. They are a great couple that really encourage and mentor us. Mr. B is one of the flight professors. We had him for at least 3 classes: Flight Science I, Direct Current electrical class and lab, and Aerodynamics class.
Dr. Lunsford, the President of LeTourneau spoke to us as well as 2 students and a professor. It was exciting to finally be the ones graduating! Also inspiring to hear the words from the various speakers of how the journey isn't over yet, we still have lots of learning to do!
The Lyon family - me, Josh, Deborah, Jim (Josh's parents), and Carol. Shelly and Joey - Josh's younger siblings had to chill at our apartment since we didn't have enough tickets :o( We missed them.
